My teaching philosophy...
My main reason for designing this specialized learning centre stems from my experiences and professional discussions at various schools across South Australia. Their thoughts confirmed what I already knew – many Aussie kids are struggling to meet the expectations and routines of their transition into school.
I strongly believe that little people have the best chance at school when they can learn in a positive environment. We make sure we provide the very best for your child. There is no standard teaching method that suits every child. What works for other students may not work for your little one.
- Foundational learning at your childs own speed
- We provide a positive learning environment, where learning is celebrated
- We are located in a quite suburban street totally closed off from the road
- Check in and check out is strictly adhered to
- Our learning centre is set up for little people with lots of resources for outdoor play, painting, writing, reading and social play
Why choose me..
I strongly believe for a student’s best chance at school, students must gain some of the foundations for learning at their own speed, in a positive environment where learning is celebrated.
When some blocks of learning are missed, the faster they can be identified and extended the better, before the child falls behind their peers and sometimes never recover that ground. This is where many children begin the cycle of falling behind, struggling to learn what they need for success, failing and then hating school, education and many social interactions of school.
Here at Growing Einsteins, I can find these gaps and fill in the knowledge they have missed, concentrating on introducing this and then building it up further. Sometimes teaching 2 or 3 different ways to help a child understand may be necessary, to attend to their learning style.
Our Centre is very safe, clean, and welcoming. I am a very experienced teacher and I have full registration as a South Australian teacher. As a result, I am fully qualified in first aid, have been vetted thoroughly, and have earned my Recognizing Abuse and Neglect certification.
At Growing Einsteins we have four very different options, to cover a multitude of needs.
A bit about me...
I have taught for 20 years and tutored children from Preschool to senior level in Primary school for 10 years. I am a very experienced teacher and I have full registration as a South Australian teacher.
Working with so many kids, I was often asked by many parents to privately tutor their children, as they were noticing a difference in other children’s self esteem, skills and knowledge gained from tutoring.
I support children with dyslexia, dyscalculia and other learning difficulties in small groups, after-school homework groups and one-to-one tutoring. Another area we are now specialising in is English as a Second Language which I have taught in schools for many years. English as a Second Language is being offered in small groups for adults and children.
In order to empower students to believe in themselves, strive to be their best, and achieve their learning goals, individual programs need to be provided. Thoughtful and precise planning, resources, and teaching have to be achieved.
Dealing with the anxiety, distress and witnessing the crushing despair from parents and children, is what ignited my passion for helping these struggling learners. I pride myself on nurturing these learners and leading them towards success using these.
I am excited to be launching this initiative. I look forward to being part of your child’s learning journey and supporting them on the road to success.
My Mission
To create and provide the best targeted and individualised learning programs for all our learners to succeed.
- To provide your child with a safe learning environment where they understand and are encouraged to ask for revision, assistance and clarify with questioning.
- Give your child a feeling of success by including praise and parents in our success celebrations.
- To provide an atmosphere of positive learning for individual and small group tutoring.
- To use assessment to gadge learning and skills, to enable accurate next steps.
What parents say about us...

I am Grace and I am 5. Julie comes to work with me in class to help me understand. I get upset sometimes but not when Julie comes. She is kind and knows stuff. I love Julie.

When I come to Julie, she teaches me how to learn. She is teaching me sounds, spelling, writing and to be proud of my work. When I come to Julie, I feel happy, and I really want to do my best. Julie thinks my writing is amazing. I know that because it is in a frame on the wall.

Julie is always kind. She makes me laugh and she reads to me. She never growls. I like when she comes over because sometimes we play games.

I love reading and writing. Thank you, Julie.
