Dyslexia Support

It’s terribly confusing for kids with dyslexia to look at a book only to see jumbled letters and jumping texts, it leaves them with a sense that they are incapable of understanding written language and that is not true. While that can cause some concerns, dyslexia is not a permanent condition but with the right support, kids can grow with confidence.

Supporting kids with dyslexia

Here at Growing Einteins your child receives support and a personalised teaching approach. With private lessons, your child will get the support they need without having to fight to get the teachers attention or be pushed aside. Learning at their pace to strengthen their confidence is our aim.

Benefits of our learning approach

When you’ve done everything you can to teach your child to read, but they can’t seem to catch up with the new learnings, it may be time to enrol for private tuition. At Growing Einsteins we carefully assess your child and then, in a supportive nurturing environment, we work together to build your child’s knowledge.

Some kids with dyslexia, need to visualise or have a mental image of the meaning the word conveys will significantly help them recognise the terms. This is part of the process of developing their style of learning. A visual teaching strategy that helps kids read. Others have other ways which they usually have begun to use, so it is a case of helping them to extend or give the student the confidence to use it.

Whatever works best for our individual learners and creates a feeling of success and self-belief, is what we use.

In Australia, 1 in 10 individuals has a learning disability. Eight in 10 individuals with learning disabilities have dyslexia, this equates to at least 2 million Australians with dyslexia. According to many experts, even that number is a conservative estimate.

The learning difficulties that come with Dyslexia do need a lot of support and understanding to make sure your child grows with confidence in his/her abilities. I have been supporting kids at SPELD for over 5 years,  tutoring for 10 years and teaching for 20 years. It would be my pleasure to support your child grow with confidence and move past those challenging times. To see how I can help your child, feel free to call me anytime on 0452 296 070.
